Benidorm Fest 2023

Palau de la Generalitat has hosted today the presentation ceremony of the second edition of Benidorm Fest, an act in which the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the president of the Generalitat Ximo Puig, and the president of RTVE, Elena Sánchez, have been present.

Pérez spoke of the "illusion and talent" of the participants in this second edition of the event and has placed Benidorm as a benchmark in music and culture "and with an unmatched capacity to organize and host large events".

The mayor recalled that the path to get the Crystal Microphone that is awarded in the next edition of Eurovision, in Liverpool, "begins with the Bronze Microphone in Benidorm".

Pérez also highlighted how the city has supported Benidorm Fest "from the first moment" and with an implication "out of any doubt", which has motivated the achievement of "a hotel occupancy" for this week of low season close to 80%”.

"Talent, culture, music, and initiative come together in Benidorm" the mayor reiterated, who has been very precise when asked who he considers the favorite in this Benidorm Fest. “Benidorm, without a doubt”.

Pérez affirmed that this event "is a challenge that RTVE, the Generalitat, and the City Council undertake and that it will surely consolidate the commitment to this formula and to what Benidorm Fest represents." With the celebration of the festival "Benidorm revives this week the stage of launching songs and performers to the world of music" said the mayor.

Toni Pérez reiterated the involvement of Benidorm "as it does with everything, with force and emphatic in this musical proposal" that he called "groundbreaking and dynamic" and that "projects to Spain and the world the capacity and desire of all these artists that today accompany us with the illusion to win”.

Something that "they are already doing it".
