The reception was attended by the players, the coaching staff, the club's president, Mario Rodríguez, as well as members of the board and the sports director, Ramón Rodríguez.
During the meeting, the Mayor congratulated the team on their excellent season and for reaching this decisive phase, encouraging them to take "that final step that will allow us to dream of a historic promotion for Benidorm." Toni Pérez emphasized the importance of this achievement, "a milestone that, to date, only our women have achieved, and which the men's team can now also achieve, confirming the great momentum volleyball is experiencing in our city."
For his part, the club's president, Mario Rodríguez, thanked Benidorm City Council and, especially, the mayor for their constant support of the sporting project and their encouragement during this promotion phase, "which gives us strength and makes us feel the support of the entire city at such an important moment."
The competition will be held from April 24th to 27th at Europa Pavilion in Leganés.
Servigroup Playas de Benidorm will debut on Thursday the 24th at 5:00 PM against Arona Playa de Los Cristianos, the second-place team in Group A. On Friday the 25th, at the same time, they will face Barça Voleibol, the champions of Group B.
If they qualify for the semifinals, the semifinals will be played on Saturday afternoon. Victory in that round would guarantee promotion to the top division of national volleyball. The grand final will be played on Sunday the 27th at noon.
Benidorm City Council wishes to extend its full institutional encouragement and support to the team, recognizing the effort, commitment, and dedication that has brought them to this decisive stage.
