The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, met this morning with his counterpart from Manizales (Colombia), Carlos Mario Marín Correa, who is in the town these days and has taken the opportunity to learn about Festes Majors Patronals in Benidorm.
The first mayor of Manizales, accompanied by his wife, comes from the COP 26 in Glasgow and after Benidorm he will move to Barcelona. In Benidorm he wanted to meet the mayor to deepen the twinning of both towns.
During the meeting, Toni Pérez showed his counterpart the founding book of Benidorm, which tells of the founding of the city on May 8, 1325, as well as some local traditions, which has aroused great interest in Carlos Mario Marin.
The Colombian mayor has also shown interest in the tourist success of Benidorm, as well as its transformation into DTI or the management of the water cycle that takes place here.
During his stay in the town, he has taken the opportunity to attend some of the most representative acts of the Festes Majors Patronals.
