Students of Benidorm present a project to break with the tourism of excesses and bet for healthy leisure

15 June 2017
Estudiantes de Benidorm presentan un proyecto para romper con el turismo de excesos y apostar por el ocio saludable

The students propose four routes that cross 80 emblematic points of Benidorm and the Costa Blanca

This morning the project 'LdV Positive Disrupters: for a tourism of young emotions' has been presented in the plenary hall of Benidorm City Council, a joint action, coordinated from the International College Lope de Vega in which also have participated local institutes Mediterrània, Almadrava, Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza and Bernat de Sarriá; together with Andreu Sempere (Alcoi), Historian Chabás (Dénia) and San Agustín (Alicante). The event was chaired by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, who also holds the municipal delegations of Education and Tourism.

The project aims to show society healthy leisure alternatives related to the emotions that so blossom they feel during adolescence. Young people, who are considered disruptive, break with established stereotypes, propose a new way of living leisure and tourism away from excesses and debauchery and pose healthy alternatives linked to the most emblematic places on the Costa Blanca. The work proposes four routes of 'Young Emotions', designed by the students themselves; 80 benchmarks of Benidorm, Alcoi, Denia and Alicante which can be accessed through the augmented reality application Geo Aumentaly, available free of charge for mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems and Mac or PC computers

In addition to the routes, students have developed a manifesto with their demands that will be presented to public administrations, the media and society. A decalogue has also been drafted that reflects the commitments of disruptive students to a new, healthier and healthier tourism adapted to the young. The petitions of the young people have also joined the platform change.org under the proposal 'Youth for a Tourism of Emotions' so that these demands reach maximum social and institutional support.

After the presentation of the project, Toni Pérez has taken the floor to thank the work done, a project that he has described as "marvel", which "would have to give him a lot of visibility" and that he "needs us all to participate in it to value him Its just measure ". The mayor has positively evaluated this academic work "of high school students magnificently guided by a great team of teachers" and has linked it directly with the objective of Benidorm that wants to be the first intelligent tourist destination. "Intelligence - said Toni Pérez to conclude - that undoubtedly rests on that knowledge that you have and that you give us."
