Rubén Roca and his 'Transition' are imposed in a contest in which have participated more than 200 works
The short film 'Transition', by Rubén Roca student from Benidorm, has been awarded the first prize of the Festival Cinerama-Esisv 2017, organized by the School of Image and Sound Aceimar, and this Friday the awards are given in Valladolid.
The work by Roca, who studies Secondary School in the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza, has been imposed in the seventh edition of this contest, which involved more than 200 young people from all over Spain.
'Transition' is a disturbing plot of fiction written by Roca himself, which tells the story of a man and two teenagers who wake up one morning and that they have to face a reality that will put them to test physically and psychologically.
For something more than 13 minutes and entirely recorded in English, Translation has been recorded mainly in locations of Benidorm recognizable at first sight such as the Gran Hotel Bali, La Tossal de La Cala or IES Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza. The three main actors of the short film are the students of the IES Beatriu Fajardo Lidia Lara and Lidia Melchor, and the teacher of the center Franc Sandoval.
In addition to the diploma that credits him as a winner, Rubén Roca will also receive tuition for a Higher Education Training Cycle.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Culture, Ana Pellicer, have congratulated Roca "for his talent and projection."
