The Spanish women's under 19 football team prepares the European Championship in Benidorm with two friendly matches
The Spanish women's under-19 football team will play two friendly preparatory matches in Benidorm for the European Championship of the category, which will be held in Lithuania from July 14 to 17. The Spanish team, now European champions, will face the United States team at Guillermo Amor stadium.
The first match is next Friday, May 31 at noon, while the second match will be on Monday, June 3 at eleven in the morning. In both cases, access to the stadium will be free of charge.
These friendly matches will finalize the preparation for the great continental event in which the Spanish team will try to retain the European title. For this occasion, coach Sonia Bermúdez has summoned 26 players who begin their concentration today, which will last until day 3, once the second match has finished.
The Spanish team will face the teams from the Netherlands, the Republic of Ireland and Germany in the league phase of the competition, and they will have to overcome to access the playoffs for the title. The top two qualified teams from each group of four will go directly to the semifinals.
