The clap of movie clapper sounds again in Benidorm. On Wednesday the film began in the city of RG02, the first film by Romain Gavras - son of the legendary director Costas Gavras -, a French production starring by Vincent Cassel and Isabel Adjani and whose argument will run between Paris and Benidorm.
For a couple of months, Benidorm Film Office is coordinating this shoot with the two producers involved in the project, the French Iconoclast and the Spanish Cactus Flower Productions. Through the municipal office of filming, the shooting needs are being managed with the different departments involved such as Citizen Security, Beaches, Public Road, Environment and Urban Scene.
Waiting for the arrival of the protagonists in Benidorm, part of the technical and artistic team has begun to work, shooting scenes on Levante beach. The RG02 team consists of about 80 people, and will be staying in the city, where filming will last for seven weeks.
It is estimated that the recording of this film will leave in the city an expenditure of about one million euros between accommodation and labor and service contracts. In fact, the producer did a casting weeks ago to hire 850 extras.
