Security and Events close the device for ‘Benidorm Summer Nights’ concerts

02 July 2020
Seguridad y Eventos cierran el dispositivo para los conciertos del ‘Benidorm Summer Nights’

The city council today has hosted the coordination meeting in which the health and safety device for 'Benidorm Summer Nights' concert cycle was closed, which is held during the months of July and August in Julio Iglesias auditorium of Parque de l'Aigüera and for whose realization all sanitary instructions have been taken into account. In this way, both the venue and the device guarantee compliance with the safety distance between attendees, with reduced capacity ranging from 400 people to a maximum of 800. The councillor of Events and Festivals, Jesús Carrobles, has chaired this meeting in which technicians from this area and Citizen Security department have participated; heads of the Local Police, National Police and Civil Protection; as well as representatives of the company promoting the cycle and the Red Cross.

Carrobles has indicated that "we have emphasized the sanitary protocol", which "observes all preventive sanitary guidelines to guarantee the safety of public, workers and artists, without sacrificing quality and comfort". The mayor thanked Producciones Baltimore for this cycle that will allow Benidorm to enjoy music "when we thought we were going to miss it after having had to suspend the ambitious schedule of events that we had planned for this summer"

The head of Events has indicated that this concert program is an occasion for "people to come to Benidorm and enjoy our city."

The Kanka will be in charge this Saturday, July 4, to start the cycle. They will be followed by M-Clan (day 9), Carlos Sadness (July 18), Ara Malikian (July 23), Martita de Graná (day 24) and Coque Malla (day 25).

Among the measures is capacity control. Attendees must remain seated keeping the safety distance or wear masks. In addition, to minimize the movement of the public within the enclosure, there will be no bar service, but a staff of waiters will attend the attendees. Inside the venue there will be a hydrogel and at the beginning and at the end of each performance all the material will be disinfected.

Regarding the distribution of the enclosure, the box area will be bounded with spaces for 2 people, while two different areas have been established in the stands: one with groups of two chairs, and the other with tables and chairs that will occupy 3 to 4 people. In silver the chairs for the assistants will be distributed respecting the safety distances.

The doors will be opened at 8:00 p.m., and the performances will begin at 10:00 p.m.

Benidorm Summer Nights August poster will be announced shortly.
