The solidarity action reaches more than 260 children from eleven educational centers and two UECO classrooms

Rotary Club of Benidorm donates stationery supplies to the local Parents' Association for vulnerable schoolchildren

28 October 2025
El Rotary Club de Benidorm dona a la Agrupación local de AMPAS material de papelería para escolares vulnerables

Rotary Club of Benidorm presented a large donation of school supplies to the Local Association of Parents' Associations (AMPAs) this Tuesday, an annual initiative now in its twelfth year. The ceremony took place in the Mayor's office and was attended by the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno; and numerous representatives from the Rotary Club and the AMPAs Association.

During the donation, the Mayor emphasised the Rotary Club's "commitment to service and promotion of education" as two of its core principles. This initiative, coordinated directly with the AMPAs, "allows for a better understanding of the needs of students in each school," and therefore, as Pérez stated, "this is a very effective and important initiative, which the City Council appreciates year after year."

Specifically, the president of Rotary Club, David Pérez Cano, indicated that the donated materials will reach more than 260 students in eleven primary and infant schools in Benidorm, as well as students enrolled in two of the town's UECO integration classrooms, one in primary school and one in secondary school.

Once delivered to the Local Parents' Association (AMPAS) by the Rotary Club, these materials will be distributed by the association itself to these schools, which in turn will distribute them among students with fewer resources, as explained by the association's president, Viviana Ankonetani.
