Alumnado de Primaria de Benidorm participa en un ‘escape room’ con el agua como protagonista

Sixth-grade students from Miguel Hernández and Puig Campana schools in Benidorm participated this Monday in an escape room activity organised by the Water Cycle and Education departments, in collaboration with Veolia, the water management company. The initiative is part of the program of activities in the city for Water Week, which revolves around World Water Day, celebrated globally on March 22.

The Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno, accompanied the students during part of the activity, which took place in the City Hall's Assembly Hall. She also thanked the schools for their participation and Veolia for organising the initiative, which aims to raise awareness among schoolchildren about the importance of water for life, development, and the well-being of the planet.

Water Week continues tomorrow, Tuesday, with the presentation of the municipality's Water Footprint project, which will be held at the BeCiti Hub. It will be a presentation for companies and media outlets. There will also be school sessions featuring the play "La gota viajera" in two performances at 10:00 and 11:30 a.m., where the water cycle is explained to students.

On Wednesday the 25th, a technical workshop has been organised for schools and institutes, including a visit to the treatment plants and educational water tastings. On Thursday, the visits and guided tastings will continue, and special radio programs about the water cycle will also be broadcast. On Friday, March 27th, there will also be a live radio broadcast from Veolia's digital hub and school visits to the wastewater treatment plant and the Séquia Mare open-air museum.

On Tuesday, the 31st, the focus will be on reclaimed water. The program will conclude on Wednesday, April 1st, with the presentation of the Sequia Mare Interpretation Centre, which will take place at Séquia Mare Hostel.
