20 March 2017
Cerca de doscientas mujeres asisten en Benidorm a la charla del Doctor Rubí sobre la reconstrucción mamaria después del cáncer

Nearly two hundred women have attended this afternoon Dr. Carlos Rubí's talk, surgeon at IMED Levante hospital in Benidorm, about 'Breast reconstruction after cancer'. The talk, held in the hall of the Town Hall of Benidorm, has been organized by the consistory, IMED Hospitals, Anemone and the Local Boards of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Benidorm, Altea, l'Alfàs del Pi And La Nucía.

The councilwoman of Health, Ana Pellicer; the president of the Spanish Association Against Breast Cancer, Pablo Enríquez; the president of Anémona, María Botella; as well as the aforementioned Doctor Rubí, have presided over the conference table, in an event also attended by the councilwoman of Igualdad, Angela Llorca; the councillor of CBM, Paquita Ripoll; as well as representatives of the different associations of the fight against cancer of the region of Marina Baixa.

Dr. Rubí is one of the most experienced surgeons in breast reconstruction and in his lecture he talked about the techniques and the future of this type of surgical intervention, both from the "microsurgery" perspective and from "robotic surgery". At the end there was a talk session with questions from the attendees.

Activities such as today also claim the right of women to this treatment, in public and private health, since breast reconstruction should be an integral part of the treatment of breast cancer.
