More than 2,200 young people enjoy a weekend of video games at Benidorm Games Event

20 October 2025
Más de 2.200 jóvenes disfrutan del fin de semana entre videojuegos en el ‘Benidorm Games Event’

More than 2,200 young people enjoyed playing their favourite video games, participating in tournaments, and attending talks about the gaming world this weekend at the latest edition of the Benidorm Games Event, held on Carrer de Pilota at the Palau d’Esports L’Illa in Benidorm. The Councillor for Youth, Ana Soliveres, emphasised that the event took place “with a very good atmosphere and a lot of participation from young people from our city and also from other parts of the region.” She thanked them for their support of this technological event aimed at enthusiasts of technology, online games, video game consoles, and computers.

Ana Soliveres visited the gamers gathered on Carrer de Pilota on Saturday afternoon with other members of the municipal council. During their visit, they took the opportunity to share their impressions with the participants and learn their opinions on this Games Event, organised in collaboration with the specialised firm Logro Desbloqueado and with the support of the Alicante Provincial Council.

The councillor noted that the Department of Youth organises "two technological events for video game lovers" each year, at Plaza de SS MM los Reyes de España and another in Palau d'Esports. "Both are a success in terms of participation year after year, bringing together fans and families, and we will continue to support them in future editions," she concluded.
