Minute of silence in memory of the murdered woman and her baby in Barcelona

03 October 2017
Minuto de silencio en memoria de la mujer y del bebé asesinados en Barcelona

With a minute of silence at the gates of Benidorm City Council, representatives of the different municipal groups, public workers and neighbors, with the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, and the Equality Councilor, Paquita Ripoll, have shown their more firm rejection, once again, of gender violence that has claimed two new victims in our country.

On this occasion, a woman appeared murdered in the street, in Barcelona, on Sunday. Subsequently, the Mossos d'Esquadra found in their home, also dead, their 11 month old baby and the alleged killer and couple. According to the indications, the man had shot the woman in the street and then the small one in the house that they shared before committing suicide. Police confirmed yesterday that it is a new case of gender-based violence.
