Minute of silence in Benidorm in homage to the woman murdered on Christmas Eve in Vila-real
The municipal corporation of Benidorm, with the mayor Toni Pérez and the councilwoman of Equality, Paquita Ripoll, in head, has observed a minute of silence in memory of the last victim of domestic violence in 2017 in the Valencian Community, who until yesterday was being the object of investigation. Representatives of the different municipal groups, officials and neighbors participated in the minuto of silence.
The victim, the eighth gender violence in the Comunitat Valenciana, and the forty-ninth confirmed in the country, was a young girl from Vila-real who was killed by her ex-boyfriend in a traffic accident against a gas station in Benicàssim. The woman was receiving protection from the authorities, protection that her assassin mocked to kidnap her and finally kill her.
