The medieval market takes over Elche Park with crafts, parades and good food
The Medieval Market is an initiative of the Independent Association of Merchants of Benidorm (AICO), in collaboration with the Department of Fiestas, which coincides with the commemoration of the 697th anniversary of the city's Carta Pobla, granted by Admiral Bernat de Sarria in 1325.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the councillor for the department, Jesús Carrobles; the president of AICO, Raúl Parra; and other members of the Municipal Corporation, have visited the facility this afternoon on a tour in which the national deputy, Agustín Almodóbar, has also participated; the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Aila Merenciano and Chloe D'Hebroodt; and the presidents of the Comissió and the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge', José Vicente Fuster and Adrián Romero.
Those who visit the Benidorm Medieval Market this weekend will meet knights, ladies, troubadours and belly dancers; they will enjoy a good barbecue with their friends; and, of course, they will have the opportunity to acquire quality artisan products. All this, with the best weather forecasts that are expected during the weekend.
