This afternoon, a group of Romanian-born children from Benidorm and their families, accompanied by Professor Dorina Apostol, have been received by the Mayor, Toni Pérez, on the occasion of the first ten years of the Romanian Language, Culture and Civilization Course in Spain. The students have given the mayor a diploma and a letter of thanks signed by the ambassador in our country, Gabriela Dancău.
The culture and language of this language of Latin root of the Balkan country are the axis of action of this program sponsored by the Romanian government through the Romanian Cultural Institute in our country and with the collaboration of the governments of Spain and autonomous goverments. This has allowed 7,000 students from more than 300 educational centers in 14 autonomous communities to study and cultivate the culture of this member country of the European Union.
