L'Associació de Penyes moves the celebration of 'Verbena del Castell' to Plaza Castelar

The Association of Penyes Verge del Sofratge will celebrate next Saturday, July 6, the first 'Verbena del Castell', which will start at 7:00 p.m. and will last until 02:00 p.m. The councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; the president of the Association, Coly Pérez; and the vice president of the entity, Juanvi Gimeno; have presented this morning the event, which is intended to raise funds for the local festivities.

Carrobles stressed that "this year the festivities season begins with Verbena del Castell", one of the acts that traditionally begins the summer. He also stressed that "this year, due to the work being done in the upper part of the Castle, the festival will move to Plaza Castelar". The councilman of Fiestas thanked the Department of Commerce for "its effort to locate the stands, which are usually located at Castelar square, the days that coincide with the open dance."

From the Department of Fiestas "we invite the entire city of Benidorm to share with them a 'splendid night in an enviable place where you can taste some sandwiches and drinks at popular prices and have a great time with a very fun atmosphere'.

Coly Pérez mentioned that "they expect a large influx of supporters and visitors to raise money for Festes Majors Patronals." The festival will be enlivened by "a small dj, the Dj Remate and finally Diego Devesa, who has already performed in this year's camp and it was a success", Pérez explained.

For his part, the vice president of the festive entity has announced that "this festival is the prelude to the great celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Association of Penyes to be held in September."
