‘Las Gracias mohosas’ by Alpí Teatre, second appointment on Friday of I Amateur Theater Show

After completing the capacity in its first appointment with the public, the 1st Benidorm Amateur Theater Show returns this Friday, April 21, to the auditorium of the cultural center. On this occasion, it will be by the Alpí Teatre company will perform 'Las gracias mohosas', a piece written by Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán and that is recovered for this exhibition, within the initiative undertaken together with Woman's Legacy to bring out of oblivion women who in their time had no transcendence due to gender issues.
Under the direction of Ricardo Molina, Alpí Teatre will stage this work, an intermission of 'La Tragicomedia de los Jardines y Campos Sabeos', which tells the story of three widows who live in absurd and meaningless situations.
The Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, encouraged "residents and tourists to accompany Alpi Teatre in this performance that seeks to make the public smile by revisiting a text written centuries ago, thus demonstrating that art and humor do not understand the passing weather".
Pérez highlighted "the very good reception that this 1st Amateur Theater Show is having with which, in addition to increasing the rich cultural offer in Benidorm, we make the stage available to local theater companies and initiatives so that they can show the talent of the amateur actors and actresses from our city”.
The I Benidorm Amateur Theater Show premiered last Friday, April 14, by the Municipal Theater Workshop, whose members, under the direction of Manuel Troncoso, staged 'La comedia de las mentiras', by Pep Anton and Sergi Pompermayer.
The contest is made up of three appointments, the last one scheduled for Thursday, April 27, with the representation of 'Hamlet' by Tossal Teatre.
