The Sports Councilor meets with those selected for the national junior team and wishes them every success in the competition, which is held from April 16 to 21
Four athletes from Benidorm will represent Spain in the ITF European Taekwon-Do Championships
The Councilor for Sports of Benidorm City Council, Javier Jordá, received this Monday the students of Benidorm TAE Club Lucas Mencía Soler, Eder Change, Alena Mitkova and Denis Petiov, athletes who have been selected to represent Spain in the European Championships. ITF Taekwon-Do will be held from April 16 to 21 in Lublin (Poland).
These taekwondo players will be part of the junior national team and under the technical direction of José Luis Diego as national coach.
In the case of Lucas Mencía Soler, he will participate in the Junior 65-70kg combat category, Tuls Individual I Dan form, and also in junior team combat. Alena Mitkova will do so in Junior 49-53kg forms Tuls Individual II dan combat and team combat.
Denis Petiov will participate in individual combat 60-65kg and team combat, while Eder Change will participate in individual combat 55-60kg.
Javier Jordá has highlighted the work carried out by each of the clubs in our city demonstrating “the growth that the clubs are experiencing over the last few years and their important success.” Likewise, the Sports Councilor wished these four local athletes good luck in this international event.
