The Department of Fiestas and the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge', in collaboration with the Transfusion Center of the Valencian Community, propose a new edition of its 'Fiesta de la Solidaridad', with the organization of a blood donation day and marrow on Tuesday, September 13, in the morning (from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and in the afternoon (from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

The Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, together with the president of the supporters' clubs, Adrián Romero, today presented the initiative that has been developing in the city for 22 years and that has "served as an example for many festive groups in the province", the mayor has pointed out.

Carrobles has specified that in previous editions of the 'Solidarity Festival' "there were more than 2,000 donations" which shows that Benidorm is "a supportive and committed town". The mayor has added that each donation "can save up to three lives" and has encouraged the festivities and the population, in general, to participate in the day. Finally, the Councilor for Fiestas congratulated Romero and all the rocks "for this magnificent initiative".

To be a donor, the person must be of legal age and under 65 years of age, weigh more than 50 kg and be in good health. You must go with your identity card (passport, driving license or NIE) and the donor card (if you have one), without forgetting to come well hydrated.
