Equality commemorates the International Day Against Gender Violence

Paquita Ripoll, Councilor for Equality of the City of Benidorm, has presented this morning a campaign against gender violence, taking advantage of the upcoming celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which is commemorated around the world on 25 November, sponsored by the United Nations.

This initiative is "the result of collaboration - said the mayor - with women's associations, through the Municipal Council for Equality." Paquita Ripoll has also stressed that "for the second year in a row" is going to launch the campaign 'No gender violence' with the aim of "sensitizing the population that in the fight against this scourge we have to get involved all" . A campaign that consists of "getting the message to people in an informal way, through mini-napkins in bars and cafeterias" in different languages. Ripoll has invited all Benidorm establishments to participate. The serviettes can be collected at the 'Jelena' Social Center, until the end of the stock. "

Friday, November 25. Reading of a manifesto and minute of silence, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (10.00 h.). Regional march against gender violence from the same place (11.00 h.). Tribute to the victims of gender violence, in the Administrative Extension of Els Tolls (13.00 h.). Theater: 'A ciegas' by Asociación Wiwa (6pm and 8pm).
