Easter Sunday began in Benidorm at 8:00 in the morning with the celebration of 'l'Ambaixada de l'Àngel', the Procession in which the images of Jesus and the Virgin meet in La Alameda street. There the angel recites the verses to the Mare de Déu with which it is celebrated that Christ has risen from the dead.

This year, the role of the angel has been played by the Children's Queen of the Festes Majors Patronals 2024, Laia Zamora, in an event full of emotions that was attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros and a large group of councillors. Senator Agustín Almodóbar has also attended.

Also, present at the event was the president of the Commission, Mª Dolores Cano; the Queen Mayor, Valentina Almodobar and the courts of honour; the perpetual president of the Commission, Francisco Llorens, 'Paco Rosera'; and hundreds of neighbours who, after the verses and the throwing of religious images, followed the thrones of Jesus and Mary to the church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna where the traditional Palm Sunday mass was celebrated.

With 'l'Ambaixada de l'Àngel' and the masses that are celebrated on the day in all the parishes of the city, Benidorm puts an end to a Holy Week full of events in which hundreds of residents have participated and which It has been able to be enjoyed by the thousands of visitors who have chosen the town to spend their holidays.
