20 March 2019
Con la ‘cremà’, las Fallas de Benidorm se despiden hasta el año que viene

The fire puts an end to the festivities in honor of San José in Benidorm. The city returns to normality after a few days when gunpowder and Fallas monuments fiiled up the streets. The commissions of Els Tolls, Rincón de Loix, Benidorm Centro and the Local Fallera Board, already work on Fallas 2020.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, together with the councilors of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, the councillor of Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez and the president of the Local Fallera Board, Javier Rico, accompanied the falleras, presidents and commissions of the three organizations the city in the 'Nit de la cremà'. The first to burn were the children's monuments around 22.00 at night. At 11.00 pm the fire consumed the monument of Benidorm Centro. At 23.30 it was the turn of the winning monument of 2019 in Rincón de Loix. The last to burn was Els Tolls, shortly before 01:00 in the morning.

An important security device composed of Local Police, Fire, Civil Protection and Red Cross, watched over the normal development of the Fallas acts 2019.
