Concert by the Chamber Orchestra of Unió Musical for the anniversary of the Town Charter

The Chamber Orchestra of Unió Musical Benidorm offered last night, in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall, a concert within the program of activities for the 697th anniversary of Benidorm Town Charter, organized by the Grup Carta de Poblament with the collaboration of the departments of Culture and Festivals and the Associació de Penyes 'Verge de Sofratge'

Under the baton of Rafa Gómez Parra, the orchestra performed a program consisting of the Concerto in Sol Mayor 'alla rustica' by Antonio Vivaldi; Concerto Grosso 11 op. in Bb Major, by Arcangelo Corelli; Abdelazer Suite, by Henry Purcell; and St. Paul's Suite, by Gustav Holst.

The acts on the occasion of the Carta Pobla that coincide with the thirtieth anniversary of the Grup Carta de Poblament, will continue on Saturday, at 9:30 p.m. with the traditional representation that commemorates the birth of Benidorm as a town with the granting, by Admiral Bernat de Sarrià, of the privileges to repopulate the area. On Sunday, a concert at 7:00 p.m. in Óscar Esplá auditorium of the Societat Musical l’Illa de Benidorm will put an end to the celebrations.
