29 June 2017
La empresa de las playas reparte cono-ceniceros para evitar colillas y mantener limpia la arena

In July 50,000 copies will be given, and another in August

The company concessionaire of the beaches, RA Benidorm, today has began the distribution of cone-ashtrays to avoid the presence of butts in the sand. The councilor of the area, Lorenzo Martínez, explained that this initiative "is part of the campaign of awareness that the company makes so that beach users are involved in the task of keeping them clean and in the best conditions for general enjoyment" .

In total, during the month of July 50,000 copies will be distributed, sponsored by Terra Natura park; and in August another 50,000, of David Guetta's contest. In addition to the manual distribution, from the concessionaire company are proposing the installation of dispensers taking advantage of elements or furniture of the beaches.

Martínez recalled that "among the improvements proposed by the company in its offer to manage beaches in a comprehensive way" is to "distribute 100,000 annual cone-ashtrays", and "combat the nasty presence of cigarette butts in the sand, which are an element difficult to remove in ordinary cleaning. "

In addition to supervising the distribution of these cone-ashtrays, the councilor has been able to see the new equipment and material available for rescue and the rescue staff received through the Management of Patronage SL and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces ( FEMP). On this occasion, the team of Benidorm has received uniforms, salvage and rescue cans, umbrellas and other materials, as informed by the municipal biologist, Moisés Pellicer, and the quality technician of the department of Beaches, Mª Carmen Agulló.
