The City Council completes the security device of the Fancy Dress Party 2017

This afternoon has taken place at the City Council a meeting convened by the Department of Public Security to coordinate the special device that on the occasion of the celebration of the Fancy Dress Party, between November 11 and 16, will be put into operation in Benidorm.

In the meeting the responsible of the Local Police, National Police, Civil Protection, Red Cross and technicians of the Citizen Security have participated. There have also been reports of the councils of Fiestas and Mobility, presented by their managers: Jesús Carrobles, and Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate.

The Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, highlighted this year the participation of 26 establishments, 22 leisure and four hoteliers. The program of activities includes the realization of recreational activities throughout these days in the collaborating premises, although, as in previous editions, the "strong day" will be on the 16th, when "the presence of some 40,000 people, the overwhelming majority of the British "during the parade, which is scheduled to leave at 2:00 pm from Calle Lepanto, and which will cross Derramador Avenue and Gerona Street in Ricón de Loix.

The Councilor for Public Safety has indicated that an emergency plan has been designed and that the security device will be operational in the coming days and has warned citizens that, due to this celebration, some traffic cuts will be made ocasionally in the affected zones in Rincón de Loix.
