The Department of Employment and Local Promotion allocates 60,000 euros to these subsidies

The City Council announces grants to contribute to the expenses of administrative personnel of business or entrepreneurial entities

01 September 2020
El Ayuntamiento convoca ayudas para contribuir a los gastos de personal administrativo de entidades empresariales o emprendedoras

For the second consecutive year, the City Council is going to announce a line of subsidies aimed at promoting the maintenance of jobs in non-profit business and / or entrepreneurial entities in Benidorm, contributing with these grants to defray the expenses of administrative staff and management that these associations have contracted.

The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, explained that “among the objectives of the Employment department are economic promotion and job creation, and hence it is a priority to support associations that carry out activities aimed at to support entrepreneurs and companies in Benidorm, in this case promoting the maintenance of the jobs they generate, especially in the current circumstances caused by the Covid-19 crisis ”.

Gómez has indicated that "associations and entities whose activities are developed within the municipality, that have operational headquarters in the city and that develop programs of general interest for companies and entrepreneurs, can apply for these grants." The City Council has reserved 60,000 euros for these grants. The maximum amount will be 7,000 euros per entity, and its destination is to meet the expenses of its own personnel who are in charge of the administrative and management functions of the association.

The bases of the aid have been approved today in the Local Government Board, and will later be published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP). From the Employment and Local Development Area "the application form and annexes will be made available to those interested in the Electronic Headquarters of the Benidorm City Council website, www.benidorm.org".

The deadline for submitting applications will begin the day after the publication of the aces in the (BOP), and will extend for 20 business days. A municipal technical commission will assess and evaluate the applications and will resolve these subsidies, which last year were awarded to six entities for a total amount of 42,000 euros.
