Benidorm will receive tomorrow in Tenerife the Mencey Futurist Award as the pioneer smart tourist destination in Spain

The mayor of Benidorm Toni Pérez, will participate tomorrow afternoon in the panel that closes the VIII National Tourism Forum for entrepreneurs and tourism professionals, Futurismo 2021, which is organized in Tenerife, Canary Islands, in two working days.

This morning, Futurismo Canarias was inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Fernando Valdés, together with the Canary Islands Tourism Minister, Yaiza Castilla, the president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, and the mayor of Arona, José Julián Mena .

The president of Hosbec, Toni Mayor, has participated in the Great Hotel Debate and this afternoon the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, will do so in the analysis of the proposal and management of safe tourist corridors.

Tomorrow Friday, issues of connectivity on tourist destinations, the prediction of risks in those destinations, the applicability of Artificial Intelligence in the sector and the issues of digitization of tourist destinations will be discussed.

The forum will end with the panel that will analyze digitization in destinations in the new era of Tourism and in which the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, will participate in a debate moderated by Antonio López de Ávila, who from his position at Segittur promoted the concept Smart Tourism at the beginning of the decade. He will be accompanied in the debate by the Minister of Tourism of Tenerife, David Pérez, and the managing director of Canary Islands Tourism, Juan José Lorenzo, together with the directors of NH Hoteles, Pedro Molleda, PwC Spain, Cayetano Soler, and Spring HG, Raul Dominguez.

Previously, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, will have received the Mencey Futurist Honorary Award for the Pioneer Smart Tourist Destination in Spain that Futurismo Canarias 2021 has awarded.
