Benidorm will launch a new Employment Workshop to train 20 people in citizen services and cemetery maintenance
Benidorm City Council is launching a new Employment Workshop that will train and employ 20 unemployed people for one year in jobs related to customer service and cemetery maintenance, as announced today by the councillor for the department, Mónica Gómez. The City Council has obtained a grant of €565,384.80 from LABORA – the Valencian Employment and Training Service – for this workshop, entitled ‘Citizen Service and Cemetery Maintenance’.
Mónica Gómez indicated that, as in previous editions, “this workshop will focus on training to improve the employability of the participants, who will receive the corresponding professional certificate upon completion of the program after passing the theoretical and practical modules.”
The 20 students in the Employment Workshop will be divided into two groups of ten, combining vocational training with on-the-job training through a training contract.
The training specialisations offered are ADGG0508 – Data and Document Recording and Processing Operations (Level 1) and SSCI0212 – Funeral and Cemetery Maintenance Activities (Level 1).
The trainees will carry out their practical training in various public offices and municipal cemeteries, contributing to improved citizen services and the maintenance of these spaces, while acquiring a professional qualification that will facilitate their entry into the workforce, as the Councillor for Employment and Local Promotion has pointed out.
Those interested in participating must be registered as job seekers with LABORA, using the code corresponding to the training specialisation they wish to pursue.
The grant awarded by LABORA covers the salary costs of the management and teaching staff, the trainees' salaries, and the program's training and maintenance expenses. The City Council supplements this funding with a municipal contribution for materials necessary for the program's implementation.
