The event will also serve to present the book 'Teaching to Swim Without Fear' by Professor Juan Antonio Moreno Murcia
Benidorm will host the 2nd Aquababies Stimulation Convention in May, bringing together more than 120 professionals from around the world

The aquatic facilities at Palau d’Esports L’Illa in Benidorm will once again host the Aquababies Stimulation Convention, a world-class event that will place Benidorm at the centre of debate on the latest developments in this field. The convention will take place from May 9th to 11th and was presented this morning by the Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá, along with the organizers: Professor Juan Antonio Moreno Murcia and José Luis León Gascón, an expert in Early Childhood Care and Aquatic Stimulation.
Jordá stated that it is “an honour” for the City Council to host this convention “which will bring together the world's leading professionals” and announced the presentation of the book “Teaching to Swim Without Fear,” by Professor Juan Antonio Moreno.
The author of the book emphasized that his work aims to ensure that “introduction to the aquatic environment does not become traumatic.” The aim is also to ensure that the book reaches as many families as possible "so that they learn techniques that will allow them to better regulate their emotions successfully."
This event will bring together around 120 attendees, professionals in the sector. In this regard, the event organizers have indicated that "there are already more than a hundred registered participants, and we hope to surpass last year's 120 participants," said José Luis León, who specified that "Benidorm has become a benchmark" and that this year, as a novelty, "we will address the latest studies on what science says about the positive effects of the aquatic environment during pregnancy."
Another objective is for the book "Teaching to Swim Without Fear" to reach as many families in Benidorm and the surrounding area as possible. To this end, the Department of Education has sent a letter to all schools informing them of the presentation of the book, which will take place on May 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium. "To register, you'll need to use the QR code in the letter sent to the schools," León stated.
Finally, Javier Jordá hoped "the event will be a success" and encouraged families to attend the book launch as often as possible.
