Benidorm will have a 'Christmas School' to facilitate family life during the school holidays

Benidorm will have a 'Christmas School' this year to facilitate family and work balance during the school holidays. This was announced this Thursday by the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, who explained that this school, promoted by the Local Group of AMPAs in collaboration with the City Council, will run from Monday to Friday, from December 26 to December 5 from January.

This year, the school chosen for this service is Miguel Hernández Primary School, located at 17 Nicaragua Avenue. Maite Moreno explained, "With this service, we give families who work during these dates the option for their sons and daughters from 3 to 12 years old to spend Christmas mornings doing leisure activities of all kinds, led by professionals and with other students of the same age.”

Likewise, the councillor has detailed that "to facilitate this conciliation as much as possible, the 'Christmas School' will have a long and flexible entry and exit time, so that each family can adapt the service to their needs." Specifically, the timetable will be from 8 to 9:10 in the morning, including the 'morning' in the price, while for departure there will be two shifts: from 1:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for students who do not stay to eat and 2:40 p.m. to 3 p.m. for those who do stay.

Although there will be no dining room service at the school, between 2 and 2:40 p.m. there will be a meal time, in which "students who wish to do so may bring their food/lunch properly packaged, along with their drink and cutlery, which they monitors will be in charge of heating in microwaves,” Maite Moreno detailed.

The price of the 'Christmas School' is 66 euros for AMPA members and 81 euros for non-members. The registration period begins next Monday, December 4, and will be open until Friday, December 15.
