Juegos Deportivos Adaptados

On May 17, the XXII Adapted Sports Games will be held, organized by Asmibe and the Departments of Sports and Social Welfare, which will take place on the athletics tracks of the Guillermo Amor sports city. The games will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the reception of the participating centres and half an hour later the games will begin. At 12:45 p.m. the trophies and medals will be awarded to all participants.

It is a fun-sports day of coexistence with the participation of schools, special education centers, occupational and residences of Benidorm region and province. In fact, this year a total of 16 centers have confirmed their attendance: CEIP Mestre Gaspar López, CEIP Serra Gelada, CEE Secanet (La Vila Joiosa), TAPIS Benidorm, Doble Amor, AFEM Marina Baixa, CEEM Benidorm, CRIS Benidorm, Vivienda Supervised Integrament, Les Talaies Occupational Center (La Vila Joiosa, La Xara Occupational Center and Day Center (Denia), Asprodis (Elda), Acodip San Pascual Occupational Center (Ibi), Terramar APSA (Alicante), San Francisco de Borja Foundation, San Rafael Center (Alicante) and Asmibe.
Once again this year, they will be inclusive sports games with the participation of some 250 people with functional diversity and another 90 ESO students. This will mean an influx of about 500 people counting monitors, companions and collaborators and the figures of previous years will be exceeded.

The different sports modalities will be: assisted races, speed, long jump, shot put, petanque, psychomotricity circuit, shot at goal, basketball, tennis, minigolf, spider web, bowling and skill games.

All the tests are organized by the TEFAD of the Lope de Vega International School and there will be around 40 students to help and encourage the participants. Likewise, some 30 1st year TAPS students from the IES L'Arabí de L'Alfàs del Pi will collaborate during the event.

The day will end with a fellowship meal among all the participants, monitors and collaborators who wish.
