Benidorm requests collaboration of young people in the development of its first Youth Plan
During the next few weeks, the Youth department will gather the opinion of young people of Benidorm through a survey that will serve to outline the central body of the first Youth Plan that the municipality will develop.
The Councilor for Youth, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has announced the launch of this survey over the next few days, which can also be carried out online. Anyone who wishes to participate "between 12 and 30 years old" can participate in the survey, and it is intended to learn about and respond to "concerns" and suggest to young people "those activities they would like to do in areas such as education, training, or work ”.
The survey and its demographic analysis make up the second phase of the development of the Youth Plan in which the Department has been working since January. Once the data is processed, in September, a third stage will begin that includes "the concise drafting of the Plan," Pérez said. For this, the call for "meetings with the rest of the City Council departments, as well as with cultural, festive, sports or youth associations" will be proposed.
The councilor recalls that young people between 12 and 30 years "represent 22% of the people registered in Benidorm." It is expected that the Youth Plan will come into operation before the end of the year and will be in force until 2023. The entire team of the Department and the Youth Information Center (CIJ) works in its drafting, and other municipal areas such as Employment, Education, Health, Culture, Sports, Citizen Participation and Events have been involved.
In gratitude for their collaboration, among the young people who participate in the survey, two tickets will be raffled for the next edition of the Low Festival.
