Benidorm reissues the Employment and Training Resources Guide

Benidorm City Council, through the Departments of Employment and Education, has launched a new edition of the "Employment and Training Resources Guide." 500 copies have been published, prepared by the experts from both departments.
This publication offers information on employment, training, and entrepreneurship in Benidorm and aims to ensure that the municipality's citizens, especially the unemployed, "have all the relevant information on local employment and training, as well as self-employment," explained Councillor Mónica Gómez.
The Resource Guide is 50% subsidised by the Alicante Provincial Council through a grant from the Department of Economic Development and Productive Sectors under its line 3 program. The grant amounts to €5,000 for this publication and also funds the career guidance workshops "Improve Your Employability" and the program to promote and disseminate Benidorm Coworking Space.
The publication covers the training offered in Benidorm and the surrounding region, both formal training (universities, vocational training courses, and public and private educational centres) and specific employment-oriented training. It also includes existing resources for accessing this training, "such as scholarships, grants, and educational exchange programs."
"The Guide also includes a directory of public and private resources and detailed information to support job searches, business creation, and specific groups, such as people with disabilities," Gómez noted.
The guide will be distributed to unemployed people in the municipality who request it, as well as to secondary schools, business associations, unions, and other entities related to training and employment, as well as public institutions (the Departments of Social Services, Youth, and Education of the Benidorm City Council and even those of other localities). Mónica Gómez also clarified that the guide "will also be available to people who request information on employment, training, and entrepreneurship from the Employment and Local Promotion Agency itself, as well as to participants in its own training and employment programs." The guide can also be consulted in the Employment and Local Promotion section of the municipal website www.benidorm.org
