Benidorm praises the quality of its offer on the World Tourism Day with the delivery of SICTED awards
Benidorm City Council celebrated World Tourism Day yesterday, September 27, highlighting the quality of its tourist offer with the delivery of the SICTED Awards. A system, SICTED, promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) with the aim of improving the tourist experience and satisfaction in Spanish tourist destinations.
In a ceremony held in the assembly hall of Benidorm City Council, the mayor, Toni Pérez, accompanied by members of the Corporation and in the presence of the national deputy, Agustín Almódobar, presented the distinctions to a total of 19 companies in the city, as well as well as the beaches and tourist offices of the city.
After the awards ceremony, the mayor highlighted the commitment of Benidorm's tourism companies to quality, thus redounding the destination and moving towards excellence.
In the words of the mayor "Benidorm is stronger as a destination than before the pandemic, because we have improved our image of safety and quality of services", a fact that he attributed both to the role of the administration and the work of Visit Benidorm and "to the effort that you have done from the business fabric to maintain parameters of the highest quality at a time that has been very difficult ”.
Toni Pérez also appreciated the fact that the celebration of World Tourism Day focused on the delivery of the SICTED badges: “I think it is the right thing to do at this time, to give prominence to those who are fighting every day to move the sector forward in Benidorm and you do it without losing sight of the quality of services that we want to offer as a destination ”.
Yesterday, the establishments Camping Arena Blanca, Camping Armanello, Camping Internacional Almafrà, Costa Blanca Tour Services, D-Vore Gastrobar, Eurochange (Mediterranean and Juan Fuster Zaragoza), Fincas Arena, Gelateria Pinocchio, Hotel Madeira Centro, Hotels Poseidón (Poseidón) received their distinction. , Poseidón Palace and Poseidón Playa), Hotel RH Corona del Mar, La Cava Aragonesa, Autocares JJ.
