Benidorm, Lloret de Mar, Salou, Torremolinos and Calvià come together to generate synergies

The five municipalities are leaders in the segment of sun and beach at national level

Responsible for Tourism in Benidorm, Lloret de Mar, Salou, Torremolinos and Calvià have taken advantage of their presence in the World Travel Market (WTM) of London to hold a meeting and generate synergies among these five municipalities, leaders of the segment of sun and beach at national level. A meeting attended by the manager of the Visit Benidorm Foundation, Leire Bilbao, and whose goal is to generate synergies, to exchange experiences and knowledge, and to assess the future challenges faced by sun and beach destinations. Among the topics discussed at the meeting are the promotion, relations with tour operators, 'benchmarking' actions, financing, and the complexity of tourism regulation and management in issues such as tourist accommodation. After this meeting, the five municipalities have been placed to a new meeting in early 2017 in which to evaluate possible joint actions.
