Benidorm estrena la programación navideña el próximo 29 de noviembre con un espectáculo en la Plaza de la Navidad

Benidorm kicks off its Christmas program on November 29th with a spectacular show in Plaza de la Navidad (Christmas Square).

The program will begin with the opening of La Casa de la Navidad (Christmas House), followed by the lighting of the city's Christmas lights and a performance by singer Gisela.

The activities will continue until January 6th with traditional games, children's performances, magic shows, and concerts, both in the square itself and at the Cultural Centre.

Benidorm will celebrate the opening of its Christmas program and the lighting of the city's Christmas lights next Saturday, November 29th, with a light and sound show that will also include a performance by singer Gisela in Plaza de la Navidad. The mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, presented the ‘Benidadal 2025’ program today alongside the Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, at a press conference. He emphasised that, once again, Benidorm will offer “a wide-ranging Christmas program, especially focused on bringing joy to the youngest members of the family,” which will last for a month and ten days, for the enjoyment of all residents and visitors.”

The events will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the inauguration of the Christmas House, located in the Casa Museu de l’Hort de Colón. A representative of Santa Claus will also be there for a few hours to collect children's letters and wishes. An hour later, at 7:00 p.m., the city's Christmas lights will be switched on, centred around Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España, where “this year we will also have a very special show by Gisela.”

From there, a large and varied program will begin, including children's shows, dance performances, theatre, music, amusement rides, exhibitions, an ice rink, and a Christmas market. There will also be two nativity scenes for the public to enjoy: a monumental one in the Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España and the one traditionally set up by ACR La Barqueta at its headquarters on Tomás Ortuño Street. The monumental nativity scene will be open to the public from December 6th, and the one in La Barqueta from the 8th. In both cases, visits are completely free and open to all ages until January 6th.

In addition, as every year, the city will receive a visit from a representative of Santa Claus at the Christmas House on November 29th and 30th, and on December 6th, 7th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. as well as the Royal Postman, who will be at Christmas Square from January 2nd to 4th at 6:00 PM to collect children's letters. From January 2nd to 5th, the Three Kings' Camp will also be set up in the gardens surrounding the Town Hall, which children can visit before the arrival of Their Majesties on the evening of January 5th, when the Grand Parade will take place.

The mayor explained that the program will begin "in the first few days, during the weekends" and that it "will be extended to every day of the week once the Christmas school holidays begin," with daily activities. He also hinted that "there will be other surprises that will be revealed as the dates approach" and invited residents of the city and surrounding areas to "enjoy these days in Benidorm."

In addition to the program organised by the Department of Festivals in the Plaza de la Navidad (Christmas Square), there will also be various activities promoted by the Department of Culture, in what the mayor has described as “a cross-departmental effort involving several municipal departments.” These events will take place in the auditorium of the Cultural Centre and will include the magic show ‘Goosebumps’ by Mago Hugo on Friday, December 26 at 6:00 p.m.; the children's show ‘Coco. The Musical’ on Saturday, December 27, with performances at 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and the New Year's Concert, performed by the Benidorm Musical Union orchestra and soprano Pepi Lloret. Tickets for all these shows are now on sale at www.ofertaentradas.com/ and www.vivaticket.es, respectively.

“Today we begin the countdown to the long-awaited start of Christmas in Benidorm, hoping that residents, visitors and tourists alike will experience this month and 10 days with joy and excitement; that we will be infected by the enthusiasm of the little ones and enjoy the wide and varied program that has been prepared to make these dates, once again, the most magical time of the year,” concluded the mayor.
