Benidorm hosts a day of the Employment Roundtable to analyze the challenges of the labor market in the city

Benidorm City Council will host next Wednesday, March 13, the “Employment and Business Conference, the challenges of the labour market in Benidorm”, a debate forum that is organized by the Benidorm Employment Roundtable. The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, announced this Friday all the details of this day and recalled that this Employment Table “was established at the end of 2021 to bring together different entities of the municipality related to employment and training, with the common objective of promoting job placement in our city.”

Mónica Gómez explained that the Benidorm City Council has been part of this organization since its inception and that, in addition, associations of people with functional diversity, public and private entities with employment and training programs, business associations and public administrations are also members of the Board. Among them, Red Cross, Cáritas, UGT, CCOO, Labora, Aerbeco, Asmibe, Cámara de Alicante, Cocemfe, Afem, Upapsa, Formación Santa Marta, La Merced Migraciones, Inserta Empleo, CEEM, CRIS-CD Benidorm, which recently CdT Benidorm, Hosbec, CEV, Jovempa, Avibe, Aico and Abreca have also joined.

“The celebration of this Employment and Business Day will constitute a meeting point between social entities linked to employment and training, public administrations and business associations and unions, to make a diagnosis of the challenges of the labour market and join forces and coordinate actions that promote employment in Benidorm,” the councillor said.

The Conference will feature different presentations, including those by Mónica Gómez and the councillor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí. Representatives of the UGT and CC OO unions will also take part, as well as the tourist association Hosbec, the Valencian Business Confederation (CEV), the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of the province of Alicante (Jovempa), Cáritas, CdT Benidorm and LABORA.

Finally, Mónica Gómez explained that the Territorial Pact for the Occupation of the Marina Baixa (POMB), of a regional nature and chaired by Benidorm, will also collaborate in the organization of the day, as it is a project that develops actions in this area. of employment throughout the regional area and attends the meetings of the Benidorm Employment Board.

Programming

Among the talks and conferences that will be held, after the reception and presentation of the Conference, the program includes a debate table called 'Context and Socio-laboral Reality', led by the Councilor for Social Welfare of Benidorm, UGT L 'Alacanti- La Marina and CC OO Alacanti- Les Marines; after which it will be the turn of the so-called 'Situation and Needs of the Labor Market', by representatives of Hosbec, CEV and Jovempa.

The third event of the program is titled 'Employment and Training Proposals', by the Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion of Benidorm City Council, CdT Benidorm, LABORA and Cáritas Diocesana de Orihuela-Alicante. Finally, there will also be a dialogue forum, after which the institutional closing will take place.
