Benidorm has observed a minute of silence today in protest and mourning for the last crime of gender violence in the town of Valga. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, have spearheaded the rally in which representatives of municipal political groups, officials and neighbors have participated.

After the crime, which brings to 41 the number of women killed in Spain so far this year by their partners or ex-partners, the individual surrendered to the authorities in the town of Ames (A Coruña).
