With this new crime, 35 women have been murdered so far this year by their partners or ex-partners in Spain and the second in the province of Alicante. Since 2003, the year the victims began to be counted, there are already 1,165 women murdered.

The Department of Equality recalls that the City Council has personnel specialized in gender violence to provide free advice to any woman who feels threatened. Likewise, it reiterates once again that the victims have the free telephone number 016, which leaves no trace on the telephone bill, although it is advisable to eliminate it from the mobile call log.
