Benidorm begins a campaign to clean and clear rural roads, slopes and parking lots

The Department of Street Cleaning of Benidorm City Council has launched a campaign to clean and clear "roads and rural areas, slopes around Serra Gelada, especially in  La Cruz area, and parking lots, which to date have "we have been full," as reported today by the mayor of the area, Luis Navarro. In addition, it has also been used to review the entrances and exits of the city.

Navarro indicated that "this campaign is usually carried out every year, always at the end of the strongest months of summer", and detailed that "two brigades of six workers" from the concessionaire Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) are assigned to this action. ) in “morning and afternoon shifts”. The councillor pointed out that the most complex cleaning and clearing tasks are those that affect the environment of La Cruz de Serra Gelada, where the operators work with harnesses and other safety systems.

The forecast is that the work on the campaign, which began this week, will continue during the first half of September.

This campaign to clean and clear the accesses and the rural environment of Benidorm completes the work that has been carried out in recent weeks in the urban sections of  Barceló, Derramador, and Murtal ravines to minimize the effects of possible torrential rains. These tasks, carried out by the Hidraqua concessionaire, have focused on the removal of belongings, clearing of vegetation, and cleaning of dry reeds in said ravines.
