During the last three days Benidorm has been the film set of two chapters of 'Cuéntame' , the longest series of Spanish television and is immersed in recording its 18th season. About 70 people, including actors and technicians who composed the crew, have returned to Benidorm after 14 years. The Alcantara family visited Benidorm for the first time in 2002, the first season of the series, then set in the year 1965. A fiction that now takes place 20 years after it was rolled. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the responsible for the Film Office, Rosa Llorca; and the manager of Visit Benidorm Foundation, Leire Bilbao, came to see how the recording sessions were developing and the impressions of the actors in their return to the city. The shooting of these two chapters of 70 minutes long these days have raised much excitement among residents and visitors in Benidorm, as part of the plot was shot in Poniente beach. Several sequences have also been recorded in other parts of the city like Serra Gelada and Levante beach. In addition to the protagonists -Imanol Arias, Ana Duato, María Galiano, Irene Visedo, Ricardo Gómez and Paula Gallego, the recording has required the participation of 150 'extras', mostly residents in Benidorm chosen by a casting organized by the producer and publicized through social networks and Benidorm Film Office were presented. The filming of 'Cuéntame' in Benidorm ends tomorrow with the recording of a sequence in a hotel in the Old Town. These chapters are expected to be broadcasted in March or April.
