Benidorm approves a new remittance of ‘Parenthesis Grants’ and exceeds 3.5 million euros granted
The Local Government Board (JGL) of Benidorm yesterday approved a new remittance of 'Parenthesis Grants', the fourth of this second call, with which the amount granted is higher than 3.5 million euros, according to the figures transferred by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez.
The mayor has reported that “with this new remittance there are already 1,558 autonomous people and companies with up to 10 workers in Benidorm from numerous sectors affected by the pandemic who have benefited from these aid, which starts from an amount of 2,000 euros to the that an 'extra' 200 euros are added for each employee registered as of December 31 ”.
The remittance approved yesterday amounts to 314,196.96 euros and reaches 144 beneficiaries, who in the next few days will be able to consult the Notice Board of the website.
Gómez has highlighted that “Benidorm City Council is working so that these 'Parenthesis Grants' reach the largest possible number of professionals and companies, without losing sight of the fact that the bases of this call, prepared by the Generalitat Valenciana, leave out to an important part of the productive fabric of Benidorm that, fundamentally due to the workforce of more than 10 workers, cannot attend this call ”.
Among the measures promoted to favor access to these grants, the City Council has launched two calls, expanding the beneficiary sectors and activities and extending the application deadlines to give companies and the self-employed a longer period ”. In fact, "the application period is open until 11:59 p.m. on September 13". An application that can be made online on the web, https://sede.benidorm.org.
At the website, the bases of this second call are also available and the list of activities and sectors that can benefit from this aid, which are all the CNAEs included by the Consell in the list of sectors affected by the pandemic.
Lastly, the councilor recalled that "apart from launching a second phase of 'Paréntesis Grants', in our endeavor not to leave anyone, the City Council we have promoted 100% municipal aid lines, such as those of the sector accommodation, to reach companies that until now have been excluded from the calls made by the competent administrations
