Beaches prepares a wide device to guarantee security and cleanliness in the night of San Juan
The Councilor for Beaches and Public Security, Lorenzo Martínez, has chaired this morning the meeting to determine the security and cleaning device that Benidorm City Hall will activate on the beaches of the city on the occasion of San Juan's Night on June 23 .
A total of 32 local police will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules to ensure security on the beaches, as well as evacuate at 02:00 hours people who remain on the sand and after that the cleaning tasks will begin. The device will have bag reinforcement, quad service and zodiac.
The cleaning of the beaches will begin at 02:00 h. with the manual cleaning and removal of glass, so that at 03:00 hours the tractors and sieves can enter to leave the beach in perfect condition for the use of swimmers next morning. However, that day will increase the number of cleaning workers who will be working throughout the day. In addition, there will be personnel handing out garbage bags to groups of people who are on the beaches.
In sanitary matters, there will be 3 ambulances with 2 nurses located in Elche Park, Bilbao Avenue and La Cala. In addition there will be 8 rescuer services: 2 in La Cala, 2 in Elche Park, 2 in El Torrejó and 2 in Rincón de Loix. The medical aid stations will be 3: Delfín, Bilbao and Elche Park. In addition, the zodiac surveillance vessel will be available and the service of accessible beaches in Elche Park will be open.
The Department will require Hidraqua company so that the footbaths are operational until 03.00 to provide service, while the councilor of Beaches and Public Security stresses that it is totally prohibited to make any kind of fire on the beach.
