Mayor, councilors, and affected women placed a banner at City Hall to commemorate the World Awareness Day

Asofiben carries out several activities to raise awareness about fibromyalgia

12 May 2025
Asofiben realiza varias actividades para visibilizar y concienciar sobre la fibromialgia

The Benidorm Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Association, Asofiben, is currently carrying out various activities to raise awareness of this disease in honour of World Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Day, which is commemorated today, May 12th. For this reason, the city's mayor, Toni Pérez, and numerous representatives of the municipal council accompanied Asofiben members and its president, Anselma Díaz Belinchón, in unfurling a banner commemorating this event from one of the City Hall balconies.

Also, this afternoon, starting at 8:00 p.m., the José Llorca Linares Social Centre auditorium will host a charity play to benefit this group. This activity is in addition to the social luncheon held by Asofiben last Saturday, which was attended by, among others, the Councillor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, to support their work.
Among Asofiben's goals are improving the quality of life of those affected and promoting a more equal and inclusive society.
