Anémona's ecological t-shirt can be purchased for 10 euros at the association's headquarters and on its website

Anemone's march will take the streets of Benidorm again on October 23

The Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, today announced the celebration, on October 23, of the traditional walking march of Anémona ( group for women with breast and gynaecological cancer of Benidorm and the Marina Baixa) that this year celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Zaragozí, together with the mayor of Sports, Mariló Cebreros, and the president of Anémona, María Botella, at a press conference, explained what the march will be like. An activity that is bringing together more and more participants and that, after the pandemic and the limited route last year, will finally recover its traditional route.

The march will depart from Plaza de Sus Majestades Los Reyes de España to reach  Paseo de Tamarindos. Touring Paseo de la Carretera, Parque de Elche, and Avenida de la Armada Española. After a short snack, it will return, stopping at the junction of Alcoi Avenue with Bilbao Street, where there will be food stalls provided altruistically by Benidorm restaurants and a bar with popular prices, managed by the Comissió de Les Festes Majors. Employers 2022.

Together with the promotion of the march, Anémona's activity is now focused on the sale of t-shirts, which represents an important economic boost that covers the services provided to people with the disease and their families.“ We are excited to break the record for t-shirt sales this year after two hard times”, underlined Botella.

The shirt, designed by Mª Carmen Zaragoza, is made of black ecological fabric, made from recycled plastic bottles. It can be purchased for just 10 euros at the association's premises on Carrer la Biga, at collaborating entities and on the website www.anemonamarinabaixa.org.

Maria Botella has thanked the collaboration of local companies such as Aquambiente, Antonio López Modernization School, Grupo PG, Ku Lounge Café and Rótulos Alfaz. “Mª Carmen's help– she has emphasized – is very important so that we can get a shirt this year at the same price as the previous one”.

The president of Anémona has also claimed the support received from the City Council and the departments of Equality and Sports. “Organizing a march where 5,000 participants is not easy. I know that the departments, the Technical Services and Public Security are also collaborating. Everyone is making a great effort so that we can all enjoy a perfect day”, she concluded.
