Activities for the youngest in 'Summer 2018' of the Department of Youth

The Youth department directed by Ana Pellicer, has presented this morning the program of summer activities 'Summer 2018' which offers children and young people between 10 and 16 years, activities to enjoy the months of July and August and their parents the possibility of developing their work activities normally.

Ana Pellicer, together with the Head of the Department, José Romeu, have broken down the program that will be developed in three phases that will begin on July 2 and will end on August 29 at the municipal facilities of the Social Center 'José Llorca Linares', from 9.30 in the morning until 14.30 in the afternoon.

The councilwoman for Youth explained that there will be three periods of activities. The first will begin on July 2 and end on the 13th of the same month. The second, from 1 to 14 August. The third, and last, from 16 to 29. Pellicer clarified that each of these blocks "will cost 25 euros" and that "participants can choose one or as many as they wish", according to availability. Among the activities there will be "cultural outings, the MARQ [Archaeological Museum of Alicante], the Boca del Calvari Museum and, obviously, our historical heritage: Tossal de La Cala, Tower of Les Caletes and emblematic places of Benidorm such as El Castillo or Fontanelles in Poniente seafront promenade ".

The program that has been designed by the Youth department also includes conducting workshops on emotional intelligence, sports, games, hiking, cooking, environmental activities, German, games and role-playing and film forum, among others.

For his part, José Romeu pointed out that this is the first time this activity has been programmed by the Youth department and that it aims to "allow work and family reconciliation of fathers and mothers" of Benidorm, especially "those who work in sectors like the services or hotels ".

To make the registration it will be necessary to present the completed application form with the personal data and health information, photocopies of the health card and the identity card, in addition to the authorization signed by the parents or guardians. Interested people can request information and register directly in the Youth Information Center (CIJ), located on the ground floor of the City Council.
