Minute of silence in Benidorm in rejection of gender violence

19 June 2018
Minuto de silencio en Benidorm en repulsa por la violencia de género

The Municipal Corporation of Benidorm, with the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll, in the lead, participated this Tuesday at noon in a minute of silence in rejection of the latest case of gender violence in Spain. Representatives of the neighborhood movement and public workers have also been present at the event.

On this occasion the memory of the woman of Guatemalan nationality who yesterday lost her life in Badalona (Barcelona) supposedly at the hands of her partner, also from Guatemala, was remembered. With this, it would be already 16 women who have lost their lives in our country, so far this year, because of gender violence.
