About 350 schoolchildren participate in the Cross that starts the XXXVIII School Games in Benidorm

About 350 Primary school children from the educational centers of Benidorm have participated this morning in the Cross with which the XXXVIII School Games of the city begin, in which every week throughout the course hundreds of students participate in the city. From 10.00 the races of the categories benjamin male and female, male and female juvenile, and male and female child have been followed, in which the participants have travelled a circuit that in addition to the athletic track of Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor has included the adjoining pine forest.

At noon the delivery of medals took place in which the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros; the councillor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, and the opposition councilor Bernardo Mira participated. In addition to the medals for the top six classified in each category, the centers that registered the highest participation in each of them were also recognized.

The organization of the Cross has been carried out by the City's sports technicians, with the support of volunteers from Benidorm Athletics Club. In mid-November, the XXXVIII School Games of Benidorm will begin, which will run until June.
