These people, with difficulties in finding a job, will receive theoretical and practical training for six months to obtain certificates of professionalism
The 20 participants of ‘Et Formem’ project are carrying out maintenance works at Séquia Mare and sports facilities
The 20 people with labor insertion difficulties participating in the employment project ‘Et Formem Benidorm II’ have already started their practical training by performing maintenance work in Séquia Mare Park and in different municipal sports facilities. The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, has reported that this new edition of 'Et Formem' project started in December and has a grant from LABORA (Valencian Employment and Training Service) from the European Social Fund for amount of 240,206.40 euros.
Gómez recalled that "this project combines theoretical training with practice, in such a way that at the same time that they learn, the participants can practice the knowledge acquired, carrying out works and services of public utility". On this occasion, she explained, this practical training will be developed "in leisure and recreation spaces that are widely used by citizens and that, therefore, require daily and constant maintenance, such as Séquia Mare Park or the facilities sports ”.
Likewise, it has influenced that “once this training and occupational action, lasting six months, is completed, the participants obtain a Level 1 certificate of professionalism in the specialty studied, which depending on the case will be 'Auxiliary operations in the organization of activities and operation of sports facilities 'or' Auxiliary activities of nurseries, gardens and garden centers ”.
The councilor has advanced that "as in the previous edition, the Employment and Local Development Agency requested LABORA last January to continue this project, with a second phase that allows participants who obtain the certificate of Level 1 to continue training for one more year to obtain the certificate of Level 2 ”.
